Our Shepherd’s Shepherds “Asarel,” an FCI Dutch Shepherd from Romanian imports FCI "Ork" and FCI "Free", was a dual-purpose working dog trained in tactical patrol, home defense, executive protection, and deer tracking and blood trailing. Asarel had an exceptional nose for scent work, a deep bite with intense grip and shake, and a flawless calm down with excellent nerves. Known for his funny character and verbal communication, Asarel was around 24 inches tall and weighed about 75 lbs. He was clear of all genetic tests and was Michael’s personal Dutch Shepherd. Asarel had extreme focus and loyalty, allowing our children to work with him by guarding them while playing in our yard and guarding their beds at night. Sadly, Asarel passed away far too soon in life due to a rattlesnake bite. We miss him deeply.
